I was thinking about last week’s post and how God helped that deer find a way to satisfy both its hunger and its thirstiness and I was reminded of how much I need to have Jesus restore my spiritual hunger and thirst on a daily basis.
I would like to share one of my favorite hymns – As the Deer
Jesus alone is our heart’s desire and we long to worship Him. He is our strength, our shield, our friend, our brother, and our King. Our desire for Him should be greater than for anything else (gold, silver, money, houses, skinniness, muscles, etc.) because in the end He is the real joy giver (Nehemiah 10:8b) and the only one who can help us to make sense of everything that happens in our lives.
Let’s worship Jesus with our whole heart and let Him guide us in all that we do.
